New Supply Chain Director

Frank Mohn (39) has been appointed to the new position of Group Director responsible for the Supply Chain at Rieber & Søn.

For the last four years Mohn has been the managing director of Jotun in Singapore. Jotun is a Norway based company that is a world leader in the field of paints and coatings. 

- Rieber & Søn has a perfect combination of international industry and brand building. The continuous process of improving a long value chain is something that fascinates, says Mohn, who is also looking forward to returning to his home town of Bergen after working elsewhere for 15 years. 

Acting CEO Tor Lund says that the establishment of the position of Supply Chain director is a consequence of the Group’s keener focus on production and purchasing.

- For many years we have been targeted on product development, brand building and sales. This will continue, but from now on we will also be devoting the same energy and attention to the "back end" as we do to the "front end" in order to boost efficiency and achieve lasting improvements, says Lund.

Production and purchasing are two main project areas under the "Future" programme which Rieber & Søn has initiated in order to secure major structural savings and strengthen competitiveness.

Frank Mohn will be taking up his position in January, and he believes that one of the main challenges will be the ability to balance customer satisfaction and profitability improvements through the Group’s entire value chain. Mohn has been with Jotun for ten years, the last four as director in Singapore. Before joining Jotun he worked for Boston Consulting Group, mainly in Norway and Sweden with FMCG companies. He is a graduate of the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration in Bergen.
