Brand building is a core area of expertise at Rieber & Søn.  Innovation and product development are key elements of brand building with the twin goals of holding the interest of loyal consumers and making the products attractive to new customers. This creates added value for the shareholders in the long term.


Strong brands make is safe and easy for the consumers to select both established and new products in the rush of everyday life. It boosts the retailers' turnover rate per shelf metre and thus increases earnings.


Rieber & Søn has brands with a long history stretching back almost 200 years and strong positions, both in the Nordic region and in Central and Eastern Europe. A fully stocked grocery store in Norway has around 500 different products from Rieber & Søn, and about 300 in the Czech Republic. We have a number of dominating umbrella brands and many smaller brands that have strong positions within a small number of product categories.

Vitana: One of the strongest brands in the Czech Republic with long traditions and a broad assortment of products, ranging from soups, bouillons, sauces, tex-mex and meals solutions to cake mixes.

Delecta: A strong brand name in Poland for cakes, cake mixes, baking ingredients, desserts and ready meals.

Toro: One of the strongest brands in Norway with an assortment of more than 250 products covering several categories.

King Oscar: A canned seafood brand since 1902, with world-wide sales and distribution. The main markets are the USA, Norway, Australia and Poland.

Mr.Lee: A strong brand in the area of noodles and wok sauces.

Sopps: The market leader in pasta in Norway.

Black Boy: A broad selection of spices, spice mixes, dressings and marinades in Norway.

Ming and Geisha: Product brands for rice in Norway.

Trondhjems: Canned meals in Norway.

Denja: The market leader within salads, dressings and herring products for the Norwegian market.

K: A strong brand name within salads, mayonnaise, remoulade and dressings in the Danish and Swedish markets.

Bähncke: A brand name for ketchup, mustard, remoulade, mayonnaise, sauces and dressings, for both the retail sector and the food service market in  Denmark.

Vossafår: A well known brand for mutton sausage and cured meat in Norway.

Heistad: Sugar-free jam and desserts for the Norwegian market.

NatuVit: Ecological and health products for the Norwegian market.

Vestlandslefsa: A brand for griddle cakes with long traditions in Norway.

Feuille d’Or: Canned mackerel products in Belgium.

Mrs Cheng’s: A strong brand name within soy sauce and Asiatic food in Sweden.

Frödinge: Frozen and chilled cakes, pies and desserts in Sweden, Finland, the UK and Germany.

P&W: Dressings and crispy fried onion for the German market.

Chaka, Emarko and Zhiko: Brand names for nuts and snacks products in Russia.

Anatol: A brand with long traditions for chicory coffee in Poland.

Bask: Rice, lentils and dumplings in the Czech and Slovak Republics.

J.C. Horn: Our second brand for spices in the Czech Republic.

Grillfagmannen: Equipment and spices for fresh food units and the food service market in Norway.

Eurospice: Spices for fresh food units and the food service market in Sweden.

Smaks: A local Norwegian brand for salads.
